The direct drive system eliminates the gearbox, which makes for a much smoother running machine. The blade system is supported by the deck instead of the conventional gearbox which greatly reduces vibration during operation. The front end of this cutter is cut out to expose the blade approximately 2" which allows the cutting blade to engage the brush and small trees without needing to push them over with the mower deck which significantly increases cutting speed and increases the cutting capacity from 3"-4" to 4"-5". The galvanizing process prevents corrosion which can cause performance problems, result in increased maintenance costs and compromise safety features. This relief valve will save the motor and bearings in the event you hit an object that cannot be cut, and it will save you money!
